July 1990 -- The first of Dale Trzebiatowski's commishing years. Jon Hicks who was last in the 1999 campaign was also in the first year league. The year was also the first pay league.

Flashback Aug 1990 -- The first 3 picks of the 90 draft were Joe Montana, Dan Marino, and Randall Cunningham.

August 1992 -- League received the first female (Melissa Neel) to enter the leagues and she had a great year, winning her division with a 10-5 record but lost in 2nd round of the playoffs to Rob Flowers. The next year she also got to the playoffs but lost to me in the 1st round.

Flashback Aug 1992 -- The first 3 picks of the 92 draft were Jim Kelly, Mark Rypien, and Warren Moon.

Flashback Aug 1993 -- The first 3 picks of the 93 draft were Steve Young, Emmitt Smith and Troy Aikman

August 31, 1996 -- First rules for the setup of a internet league. Present charter members include Will Proctor, Carey Rial, Pete Lawrence, Tim Card, Donald Bowen, Rob Summers and myself.

July 1996 -- The league took the name of the Holmgren Fantasy Football League

July 1996 -- Created the league Draft page for drafting purposes. It is a JAVA enabled Chat room.

October 15, 1996 -- The start of the RECORDS page for the League was started and still going. Go to the records page for the latest accomplishments.

September 1997 -- The HFFL joined the Global Fantasy Football League charter and the Fantasy Football Federation Charter.

May 1998 -- Created the HFFL Guestbook for the league members and outsiders to make comments about football.

June 1998 -- HFFL was nominated as a qualifier for the All-Web 98 Site from Football Central with a score of 24/30.

July 1998 -- The HFFL league jumped to two 16 team leagues, one for entry fee and the other for free. Both running under the same league name.

Flashback Aug 29, 1998 -- The first 3 picks of the 98 PRO draft were Terrell Davis, Barry Sanders and then Brett Favre.

December 4, 1998 -- Became a charter member, of the new and hopefully successful Fantasy League Net. Removed the link to the Fantasy Football Federation due to it's disappearance from the internet.

December 28, 1998 -- The first Female to win a Super Bowl. Lyne' McBrides Outlaws wins 131-66 over Chris Shipp's Cowboy Bootstompers for the college Super Bowl III.

Flashback Aug 22, 1999 -- The first 3 picks of the 98 PRO draft were Brett Favre, Terrell Davis, and then Randy Moss.

December 14, 1999 -- For the first time probably ever, the HALL OF FAME division in the PRO league had all 4 teams make the playoffs. A whole division of playoff teams which were division winners, Jack Hammers, Adam and Cam's Bay Area Smashers, Shawn Fatula's Drunken Pollacks, and Chris and Carey Rial's Southern Fury. Congrats to them for the achievement.

Flashback Aug 19, 2000 -- The first 3 picks of the 2000 COLLEGE draft were Edgerrin James, Marshall Faulk, and Stephen Davis.

Flashback Aug 22, 2000 -- The first 3 picks of the 2000 PRO draft were Edgerrin James, Marshall Faulk, and Peyton Manning.

Flashback Aug 22, 2000 -- The first 3 picks of the 2000 KEEPER draft were Edgerrin James, Marshall Faulk, and Eddie George.

Flashback Aug 22, 2000 -- Each draft took less and less time to do but to mark it down for a record, the PRO draft took only 3 hours and 33 minutes to complete. That is 49.9 seconds a pick. Congrats to all the members who made that happen.

December 19, 2000 -- Tom Vanderlinde and the South Park Cows became the first team to be in two Super Bowl in one year. Congratulations to Tom and his team.

Flashback Aug 26, 2001 -- The first 3 picks of the 2001 COLLEGE draft were Marshall Faulk, Edgerrin James, and Duante Culpepper.

Flashback Sept 8, 2001 -- The first 3 picks of the 2001 PRO draft were also Marshall Faulk, Edgerrin James, and Daunte Culpepper.

Flashback Sept 8, 2001 -- The first 3 picks of the 2001 KEEPER draft were Peyton Manning, Michael Bennett(Drunken Masters who went to the Super Bowl), and Curtis Martin.

January 7, 2002 -- The Commandments Scott Holter wins the 1st TWO Super Bowls of his HFFL career, both coming in the new KEEPER LEAGUE.

January 7, 2002 -- Jeff Girard's Cowtippers were the high money getters this year with $265.00.

January 7, 2002 -- The College league was officially abolished to dedicate more time and effort to the paying leagues.

Flashback Aug 26, 2002 -- The first 3 picks of the 2002 KEEPER draft were Kurt Warner, Shaun Alexander, and Brian Griese.

Flashback Aug 27, 2002 -- The first 3 picks of the 2002 PRO draft were also Brett Favre, Marshall Faulk, and Kurt Warner.

Flashback August 17, 2003 -- The first 3 picks of the 2003 KEEPER draft were LaDainan Thomlinson, Ricky Williams, Clinton Portis.

Flashback August 17, 2003 -- The first 3 picks of the 2003 PRO draft were Ricky Williams, Edgerrin James, and Marshall Faulk.

December 21, 2003 -- The HFFL PRO Super Bowl VIII will be played by the 7th and 8th seeds of the playoffs, the first time it has ever happened. Orange Crush vs Annhilators

December 29, 2003 -- Super Bowl VIII in the PRO league was decided by the closest margin ever (.3pts). Orange Crush 106.6 vs Annhilators 106.3.

December 29, 2003 -- Brent Starr is the high money winner this year with $410.00.

December 29, 2003 -- Brent Starr becomes the 1st manger to WIN the HFFL TROPHY in both leagues.

Flashback August 30, 2004 -- The first 3 picks of the 2004 PRO draft were Priest Holmes, LaDainan Thomlinson, Ahman Green.

Flashback September 1, 2004 -- The first 3 picks of the 2004 KEEPER draft were LaDainan Thomlinson, Ahman Green, Priest Holmes.

December 28, 2004 -- Brad Riesterer was the High Money winner this year with $405.00. He won the KEEPER Super Bowl and lost to me in the PRO Super Bowl.

Flashback August 16, 2005 -- The first 3 picks of the 2005 KEEPER draft were Shaun Alexander, Clinton Portis, Curtis Martin.

Flashback August 20, 2005 -- The first 3 picks of the 2005 PRO draft were LaDainan Thomlinson, Shaun Alexander, Priest Holmes.

December 28, 2005 -- Rob Digiosio was the High Money winner this year with $515.00. He won the PRO Super Bowl and lost in the KEEPER SB to Marlon Taylor's Cobra Kai.

August 24, 2006 -- HFFL moved to a web-based format for running the league. Still with First Place Fantasy Sports but online at http://www.webleaguemanager.com

Flashback August 24, 2006 -- The first 3 picks of the 2006 KEEPER draft were RB Edgerrin James, RB Reggie Bush, and RB Rudi Johnson.

January 1, 2007 -- Mike Lowenthal was the High Money winner this year with $285.00. Mike managed to beat Brent Starr in the KEEPER SB by only .3 of a margin.
