Glenn might be the first person to win the Super Bowl as the 8th and last seed in the playoffs. Congrats Glenn on coming on strong when needed. Fantasy Football KEEPER III Champion 2002
The The Orange Crush (12-5),
owned by Brent Starr from Broomfield, Colorado.
Congrats goes to out to Brent who finally got the top spot over divisional rival Scott Holter who was 2 time champ. Interesting this year is that each Super Bowl winner in the HFFL had Ricky Williams and Tony Gonzalez on it. Also interesting is that the Super Bowl winner in the KEEPER league has always had a Minnesota QB. So those players could be considered MVP's. Brent ended up beating the Dominators 174.1-104.2. With this win, Brent now is the leading cash winner in the HFFL. I know he will be happy with that.

QB, Duante Culpepper, Min(36)

The The Orange Crush (10-7),
owned by Brent Starr from Broomfield, Colorado.
Congrats goes to out to Brent who finally achieved what no one ever has before. A title in both leagues. This game also was the closest margin of victory every. Winning against Mark Janecek's Annhiliators by .3 pts (106.6 - 106.3) This was Mark's 2nd trip to the Bowl games with no victory to show for it.

Fantasy Football KEEPER IV Champion 2003
The The Steamships (11-6),
owned by Rich Burns & Tim Nowak from Cudahy, WI.
The title has left Colorado and that might bring back Scott Holter from retirement to come back in the league. Tim Nowak and Rich Burns defeated Brent Starr's Crush in a 2.1 point decision. (119.7-117.6). The Steamships were ridiculed during the draft for their over analysis of the players they chose but I guess in the end, it worked so who's laughing now. Congrats Rich and Tim.

QB, Brett Favre, GB(11.2)
RB, Shaun Alexander, Sea(31.4)
RB, Brian Westbrook, Phi(22.3)

Fantasy Football PRO VIII Champion 2004
The Jack Hammers (11-6),
owned by Dale Trzebiatowski from Milwaukee, WI.
Finally, the commish wins a money league beating the Cum Dumpsters 133.3 - 97.7. It was a year of key players stepping up. I took the risk of Corey Dillon and it paid off, Culpepper was the best of the rest with 518 pts overall in the season and Drew Bennett was a surprising hero during the 2nd half of the season. Rookie Roy Williams was solid when needed, Wiggins was good and don't forget I had Marvin Harrison too. Yeah, can you believe I won the Super Bowl without starting Corey Dillon or Marvin Harrison. The Dumpsters had a flat day in this defeat. Only one team member scored over 20 for him and that was WR - TJ Houshmandzadeh. Curtis M artin and Shaun Alexander had off days at the wrong time.

QB, Daunte Culpepper, MIN(31.4)
RB, Steven Jackson, Stl(23.0)
RB, Najeh Davenport, GB(0.0)
WR, Roy Williams, Det(16.2)

DEF Pittsburgh (23)

Fantasy Football KEEPER V Champion 2004
The I-Macs (13-4),
owned by Brad Riesterer from Green Bay, WI.
It was a quiet Super Bowl here as the score was only I-Macs 93.2 Milford Mashers 69.3. It was a great story though. I-Macs were last the year before and drafted 1st, the Mashers lost LT and Priest to the keeper contracts and had to rebuild. Both teams fought through the difficulties and made it to the Super Bowl. I-Macs beat division winner Winged Gorillas and Mashers beat division winners (13-1) Comeback Colt. Culpepper and Chris Chambers were the deciding factor in the game though. Those two combined almost beat the Mashers. The Mashers only highlight was Tom Brady's 22.6 pts.

QB, Daunte Culpepper, Min(11.2)
RB, LaDainian Tomlinson, SD(0.0)
RB, Chris Chambers, Mia(33.6)

DEF Chicago (4)

Fantasy Football PRO IX Champion 2005
The Thunderbolts (9-7),
owned by Rob Digiosio from Milford, NH
All the attention was towards Rob's Keeper team all year as he set a blazing pace there but he squeaked in as the 8th seed in the PRO playoffs and managed to sneak past everyone to finally beat out Super Bowl Veteran, Brent Starr (a 7th seed). with the 2 Super Bowl matchups he was in this year, Rob was the high cash winner at $515.00. Brent had another good season but Vicks 26.4 and Fred Taylors 18.2 were not enough as they only scored 104 pts.

QB, Matt Hasselbeck, Sea (20.4)
RB, Corey Dillon, NE (19.7)
RB, Zack crockett, Oak (9.8)
WR, Chris Chambers, Mia (22.6)

DEF New England (18)

Fantasy Football KEEPER VI Champion 2005
The Cobra Kai (10-5),
owned by Marlon Taylor from Victoria, BC, Canada.
I don't know if it was the move to Canada or the change in team name but Marlon finally got past all the nay sayers and won it. He lost in 2002's Super Bowl but now has a championship to his belt. He had to beat the strongest team in KEEPER history this year in the Thunderbolts who dominated with the Shaun Alexander, 4 WR lineup. Marlon got hot though at the right time and dominated the playoffs. Final was Cobra Kai 186.5 - Thunderbolts 149.8. Next year thought Marlon will be rebuilding as he has to return

QB, Jake Delhomme, Car (24.0)
RB, Corey Dillon, NE (19.7)
RB, Rudi Johnson, Cin (11.6)
WR, Rod Smith, Den (14.1)
WR, Chad Johnson, Cin (32.7)

DEF Denver (17)

Fantasy Football KEEPER VII Champion 2006
The Papa Bears (12-4),
owned by Mike Lowenthal from Valparaiso, IN.
What a close game this was. Mike beat out Brents Orange Crush by three tenths of a point, 129.3 to 129.0. Maurice Drew, the surprise RB of the year got him 44 pts and allowed LT to take the day off with only 14.3 pts. Brent tried hard with 55.2 pts by Steven Jackson but it wasn't enough. Mike got revenge for a 1st round lose in 2004 to Brent's team and earns his first Super Bowl victory.

QB, Tim Rattay, TBB (8.6)
RB, Maurice Drew, Jac (44.2)
RB, Chester Taylor, Min (9.7)

Fantasy Football PRO X Champion 2006
The Misti Meathooks (11-5),
owned by Alex Ferrari from Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Rumor was Alex won the Super Bowl in all four leagues he was in this year. It took two years to win it in the HFFL and he had to do it against his good friend, Glenn Skiba. The final score was 120.7 - 90.1. Surprisingly Alex was lead by the likes of Ron Dayne and Jeff Garcia, two guys on the tail end of their disappointing careers. But a win is a win. Congrats Alex

Rob managed to win his division in the last week of the season and then continue on to a championship run. Rob had to get through Stephen Zick's team (another division winner) by scoring 108.7 points. Thanks to Stephen for only scoring 87.5 in the Super Bowl.
