The inside cover is an aerial photograph of the station circa 1944 with dozens of aircraft on the fields. The book starts off with a "Wee Look into Scottish History" by Dawn Pucci, Then the history of the US Navy role at Edzell is interspersed with world affairs starts - the next Chapter being "Edzell through the Ages" 1960 -65 ; followed by a piece from A. Pettetier (Capt, USN Ret) "The Beginnings of NSGA Edzell" This is followed by several pages of photo's from that period. The book continues in much the same vein with with written descriptions of the period followed by a short selection of photographs of the eras, 1966 - 70; 71 - 75; "First Impressions" from Mary-Alice Hurlburt (Halsey School); 1976 - 80; a copy of a "Letter of Condemnation" by LCDR Bill Hickey, USN Retd, to Cliff Hansen of 1975 - Cliff was still there in my time so it didn't do him much harm!! Through the Ages 1981 - 85; an article about the USAF by MSGT D Lemka; 1986 - 90 then 1991 -96. An article by CTOCM G.L. Willis "Edzell is Closing" takes us to page 85; thereafter the book concentrates on photographs of the various departments and personalities in the later year or so. The many photographs through the book give a flavour of the base and it's personalities.
Lot's of photo's of Dental personnel.
